Neudorf has the advantage of coming from Nelson in New Zealand, which has one of the highest number of hours of sunshine, yet remains cooler in temperature from the surrounding ocean, giving reliable ripeness with great vivacity. This entry level Chardonnay more resembles the nose of Sauvignon Blanc, with bright and clean citrus fruit. The mouth, however, captures that rich texture, concentration, and long resonant finish that Chardonnay is famous for achieving. Every sip is so bright, tasty and caressing that you just want to keep coming back for more.

Big and concentrated - with most of the power present in the front palate. Quite oaky, but also focused and mineral. Slightly bitter finish and the back palate tails off more than the front sand overall concentration would suggest - I wonder if the wine may be on the cusp of decline, but this is very classy, complex and drinking well.
