Pretty much as my note of Aug 2016. Violets and spice prominent on nose and palate. Plenty of berry fruit on the palate with soft, integrated tannin and unobtrusive acidity. Perhaps some plum/damson (as detected 2/3 years ago) and the mix of fruits is quite difficult to define but is seductive. Long and still attractive. The last of a case. Note: Excellent after 24h. Very soft but it still has very good fruit and complexity. Fine wine.

Deep colour, violet-scented, spicy nose turning to blackberry as it softened in the glass. A trace of cinnamon on the nose? On the palate, some blackberry with a seductive range of dark berry fruits that are difficult to disentangle but any blackcurrant acidity has gone. Good balance. Soft and rich with black cherry fruit developing with time. On the end taste, some gentle powdery tannins with cherry stones. Interesting development - over the last year, the damson/plum character seems to have evolved into blackberry/cherry. Very attractive wine. Great now, but has future potential IMO.

Deep colour, fragrant, violet-scented nose. As with earlier bottles, berried fruit with touches of liquorice and damson skin at first. Next day there was more blackberry on the nose and it was softer but retained a good balance of fruit (dark fruits), acidity and tannin. Vanilla evident later on. Open early. Nice wine.

Good colour, fragrant nose (almost perfumed at first). Rich berry Syrah fruit with touches of liquorice and damson skin on the long, fragrant, tannic palate. Nice. Next day it was softer and sweeter. There was a vanilla ice cream character early and the damson had become dark plum. The tannin had softened on the end taste. I think this has a fair few years ahead of it. Open early.
