Had at Bob Dalby's New Years Day event. It followed a Rattlesnake vineyard Cabernet and I must say that this blew the cab away. Velvety smooth and plush on the tongue. Floral aromatics with flavors that match and exceed. Blueberry dominant but a mid palette of sweet cherries and strawberry jam.

This is a good wine, but not really a great one. Somewhat tight on opening and works better with a bit more time in the glass. It's got some nice cherry and spice, but isn't particularly complex nor particularly clean in flavor. Enjoyable though and a nice wine to sip at the end of the day. Not sure that this will be evolving much more, but can certainly go for some more years.

Dark garnet/purple color, medium to full bodied, somewhat subdued black raspberry and blackberry fruits give way to tones of dark mocha and hints of vanilla, leather and tobacco leaf, turning to smooth dusty tannins on the moderate lingering finish.

Full-bodied merlot. Reminds me of a Bordeaux. Yum!
