Four months (tho it seems years) after the prior: again, beautifully saline and mineral; but also with depth and richness. Harmonious and very enjoyable over three nights.

Very zesty, plenty of lemon (and lots of acidity) hints of mineral but slightly overwhelmed by acidity which also masks richer orchard fruits hints of which are coming through. I have another 8 bottles and am tempted to leave it and see if the acidity settles down, at the moment it limits the wines appeal.

Private Tasting (@Private location): Glass: Spiegelau Burgundy Tasted blind. Clear, pale golden color. Clean, medium (-) intense, complex and developing nose: Gooseberry, mineral notes (chalk), lots of citrus (fruit and zests), some fine oak. Very multi-layered and nice. Dry, medium acidity, body and alcohol. Nice flavors with medium intensity: Limestone, again citrus fruit and zests, gooseberry. Fruit is not dominant, moderate oak, lean and elegant. Medium finish again with lots of ripe citrus. Good pressure on the palate, good nerve. I guess the wine is near its peak and will stay there for 3-5+ years. 90-91

Mint and seashells with some white pepper, cut grass and orchard fruit on the nose. Quite fat for a chablis, with more than a nod in the direction of Gruner. Clean finish. I prefer my Chablis with a bit more cut and steel, but this was still quite an enjoyable bottle
