Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Color shows age. Very Southern nose. Honeyed with some almond and nutty notes, dried fruits and apricot with a hint of old wood. Very round, almost buttery texture and notes (guess malo was definitely done). Lemon with again dried fruits (orchard). Acidity is there even if the texture gives you the impression this is a little flabby.
There's also something herbaceous both on the nose and palate.
Fun to try such an old Cassis and even if I prefer the freshness of a young Cassis, I quite enjoyed it (and yes, this was probably better years ago).
