A rather neat and tidy wine, with a sunny garden-friendly feel and a kiss of honey on the back end. The alcohol is in check (13.5%) and so there's no sense of heat, but there was a touch of sweetness that I found slightly offputting. Not particularly cheap, and it didn't taste cheap either, but someone who likes cheap white wine would probably prefer this.

This really delivered with fresh seafood as part of our Feast of the Seven Fish. Absolutely lovely and would purchase again in the $30s. A distinct and rewarding white.

A private lunch with a friend (Restaurant De Lage Vuursche, Lage Vuursche, NL): "Cuvée De Vier Heesmkinderen". A delightful Cassis, balances succulent orchard fruit with firm freshness, lovely salinity and fennel notes.

Pithy, grapefruity nose. Weight and roundness. Finishes with a lovely tang. Excellent wine.
