Bottle #7 of 12. This continues to be a real delight! Wasn’t quite expecting this to last so well, but it really keeps getting, if not better, then at least equally good. Quite light and extremely ‘fluffy’, almost melts like a soufflé. Still lots of freshcut fennel on the nose. Very enjoyable. Lots of good memories from this area, but that aside, this is quite adorable. 90-92 pts.

I'm a sucker for this particular wine, and note should be read accordingly. I love the focused, laid back style. Lots of honey, fresh cut fennel and salt sea on the nose. Excellent with all sorts of fish. Opinions seems to vary on this one, I find it to be quite extraordinary and peculiar in its own relaxed, sure of itself way. One of the best QPR's out there, imo. (90-91 pts) Bottle 4 of 12.

Light straw in color with a nose of stone fruit, fresh hay, lanolin, and fresh pear. The palate is fresh and unctuous at the same time with a very nice finish. Delicious with halibut.

My first taste of Cassis. A pale golden color with minerality, herbs, and light citrus notes in a delightful bouquet. The smell is not even as good as the taste. The wine is rich, but has a lovely acidity that comes through to keep things focused. The mouthfeel is unctuous (must be the Marsanne?) yet sharp at the same time. The finish is pure. Delicious. I will be stocking up on this for next summer and serving it with every fish and seafood dinner.
