From 75cl, good cork, opened but not decanted 30 minutes. Still massively concentrated, dense and unctuous, but more open and approachable than my previous bottle (TN 10.09.2019). The only real hint of Riesling is a lithe, lifted textural note on the entry. Otherwise this could be a fine, hyper-concentrated Rhône, aromatic (pollen, humid summer evening garden scent) but—and this is the problem—lacking the minerality, acidity or tannic grip which might prevent it going as flabby as it unfortunately does with time in the glass. If you like big fat Chapoutiers, you'll probably love this. Best soon after opening and at fridge temperature. Drink sooner rather than later. 90P

A private tasting (Amsterdam, NL): Tasted blind. The floral nose is a clear indication of the grape variety, but the textural richness (paired with a distinct note of apricot) is such that it could easily be confused with Condrieu. Full bodied but avoids excessive alcohol, and there are no overt botrytis notes. An impressive wine, drinking beautifully now.

Gonon tasting; 11/10/2023-12/10/2023 (Utregs Wijnhuis, Utrecht, NL): Good, but did not live up to my expectations. Clearly smaragd, but the acidity was not high enough to stand up to the full bodied (botrytis) fruit

From 75cl, dryish cork broke during extraction, P+P. As noted on 24.03.2022, but one year more advanced. Time to drink up. 89P

Green apples, Cointreau, tarragon and thyme, hints of tropical fruit in the back. Pronounced acidity. Very fresh and bright. Really good stuff!!
