  • Good Friday night wine swap with the gang. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet edge. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of meat, earth, salty stones + iron rocks/clay. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), sturdy medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red plums, macerated dark red cherry fruit, earth, salty stones minerality, meat, emerging leather. Long finish.
Very good quality. Sturdy Rugiens built to age. Upside with a few more years.
