Was fairly tight right out of the bottle, strongly tannic. An hour of air mellowed it out and revealed a strong backbone with vegetal notes, tart cherry and dollop of sweetness. Quite interesting, needs a few more years.

2023 La Paulee Grand Tasting of 2020 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Deep ruby. Somber dark black fruit aromas. Medium weight, high acidity, earthy black fruit, and a dry finish. Outstanding Pommard that is not too severe but structured for aging. I'd give it 10 years.

Pronounced nose intensity with flora, graphite, red and black fruits. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin.

This is attractive. No oak to note so good purity. Freshness is great for a 2020. ready now.
