Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Purple. Ripe, succulent black fruit of great purity. Good acidity and soil with salinity. Round tannins. Okay, this will always be New Worldish and lead with the fruit rather than complexity, but the quality and concentration are joyous, and it is not overdone. Enjoy over the short and intermediate term. An exuberant sip today.

La Paulee NYC 2022 walkaround tasting Powerful, dense and seriously concentrated, but also sweet and sensual, very fine wine - I call this the new old school - which combines concentrated yet domesticated bombs, slightly dry tannins, in need of time but will be a good Pommard in 15 years. My fav of the line up.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Very impressive, cellarworthy wine. Complex and layered black berries here with good+ depth and volume, supported with mint, anise, and roasted meat. Lots here, lots of power, very long finish. Better 2028-2048 or so.

La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Vertical. An excellent Pommard that needs lots of time. Bold black fruit are slightly brooding now, very firm in the middle. I have three magnums in the cellar, and will give them another decade of rest.
