Brick House Survey (1995-2015): Black cherry and an appealing smoky and musk note in the nose. Leaner on the palate with bright berry fruit. Good herbal complexity. One of the leaner / lighter examples of the 11 bottles tasted today.

Brick House survey (Chicago, IL): For a change, it was psmith who said this was corked and me the opposite. It's a bit of a runt in the lineup, with a fair touch of green. It's not quite the offensive green 2004 red Burgundy green, but there's a slight underripe, pyrazine thing here. The palate has some nice earthiness, but this wine feels a little thin in the context of the lineup.

Not as impressive 2 years after I last tasted this; doesn't seem to be fading, just a bit muddled; perhaps shutting down now; popped and poured, so perhaps it needed more time to open up

Brickhouse Study (chicago, IL): this seemed off. There was a real green quality that I never get from this vintage and it felt slightly corked.

I think this bottle was coming out of a dumb phase...or entering. Its going to get better with time.
