This is well made, Faiveley managed to do a beautiful Latricieres, quite an achievement in a cold year for a terroir that shines mostly in hot vintages. The wine is clear in color, displaying a typical nose of cold clay, gun flint, a hint of sauvage pussy and of dark berries. The mouth feel is silky with dark berries and earthy aromas, with fine and melted tannins, fanning out in a mildly persistent finish. This is ready to be enjoyed. On day two, the wine faded away, so it can be drunk or kept, but I do not see the potential for dramatic improvements ahead.

93. Earthy raspberry, pure/crystalline medium ripe cherry with a little lean/green streak (but not off putting, and adding character to the wine)

La Paulée de San Francisco 2014 Grand Tasting (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Fresh and light red fruit nose; creamy and almost pasty, too soft, not crazy about this.
