Doing very well. Very typical the genre and the vintage with tar, small berries, intense deep fruit. The modern polish has all but vanished, what's left is the real stuff, albeit in a friendly way...

Dense, modern, very tannic and packed with fruit. Not terribly expresive or interesting, but did open up a bit with some hours airtime. Built for age, I think, though I can't predict whether it'll shine.

WineFanatic Nebbiolo Offline (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind – huge vanilla on the nose. Very ripe. Modern style with a very interesting shaped bottle. Way too young, needs time. Good. 87+

(right after opening) The nose is rather closed; some fruit and liquorice is shining through. On the palate still forceful tannins, intermingled with red and black fruit, some liquorice and refreshing acidity. This has material and balance, but seems to be still on the young side. Let's decant this and see how it evolves over the next few hours... the wine performed on the same level throughout the entire evening. It is a good but not overly complex example of Barolo on the modern side of the spectrum.

Caroline Wine Shop - Italy, Piedmont (Carolines Wine Shop): (Tasted Blind): A mid to deep garnet colour. The nose offers an intense chocolate aromas with frozen red berries, peat, iodine, and liquorice. Complex, the nose also has a lifted perfume of rose petals and, as it opens, becomes more confected towards boiled sweets. The palate is intense fruit flavours, balanced by crisp acidity and notes of iodine, pepper and red berries. Well-structured with crushed velvet tannins and a long finish.
