Full body, deep garnet to purple color. Ripe black and blue fruits aroma complemented by peppery and spicy notes. Complex, black cherry, blackberry and plummy background following by long hot but juicy finish. Rich, powerful and bold, well balanced in spite of high alcohol, soft acidity and grippy tannins. Food friendly, well pairing to beef stew. Serve 16ºC - 20ºC. Open half hour ahead. Drink now and next three years, perhaps longer.

Improved for five years that I tasted it in winery. Full body, deep ruby color. Ripe black fruits forward aroma complements by black pepper and spicy notes. Jam like palate of black cherry, blackberry and plum following by long hot finish. Not so elegant as cooler 2011 but rich and complex, bold and impressive as 2008 and sure not over powered as 2009, balanced in spite of high but well-hidden alcohol. Food friendly, tasted with chicken meatballs stewed in vegetables. Serve 16º - 20º. Open half hour ahead. Ready, drink it now but tannic structure and acidity allow enjoy to it more four/five years or so.

Fantastic. Opened bottle about 1-2 hours prior to serving. No decant. Very similar in profile to previous vintages.
