Crowd pleaser! All in balance, ripe full, some wood supporting the wine. Went well with Vol-au-vent with sweetbreads. The bottle was gone in no-time with a corona crowd of 2.

Knightsbridge 2011 Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Tough wine to assess today. Somewhat darker than most young Volnay with subtle spice hints. Became more dense and more firm from start-to-finish. This will need more time than most comparable wines from the vintage.

Some Wines from a Swing Through France-Paris, Chablis, and Champagne; 4/1/2016-4/9/2016: Ruby. Licorice and black fruit. Medium to light weight. Young and peppery with green tones. Good but didn't love this bottle. I worry about it taking on too much green.
