Light bodied for a zinfandel. Baking spices, cinnamon and high toned red fruit. All resolved and fully integrated. Has fairly high acid (again, especially for a zin). Good long finish with a bit of sweetness. A bit rough and rustic. No need to wait, I'd drink these in the next 3-5 years. Nice.

14.9% alcohol. Dark cherry color. Wound up very tightly, and this was better on the second night after it had been open overnight. Dusty cherry, lots of minerals, and a tightly wrapped spice note underneath. On day two, this really unwrapped and showed more character. Strong acidity. This is nice but really could use another three years or more. Classic Zeigler with great life to it. A-

Sour with high acid and a bit of sweetness behind. Out of balance. Something going wrong with this.
