15.8% abv. Dark ruby red. The red cherry aromas are stunning. Beautiful red fruit on the palate - cherries and raspberry. This wine has grip and a nice savory element. Excellent depth and length. The wine continues to improve and should have a long life ahead.

Part of a big night of Zins. This was really a warm mouthful of history, deep black fruit, lots of texture, mostly velvety but with enough tannin. Acids are pretty low, consistent with Zin. This is really a great and historical wine, from some of the oldest vines in Sonoma County and brought back to production and made into fantastic wine by Will Bucklin. One to seek out--up there with my pantheon of Zins.

You know sometimes in life you're offered true history in a bottle and for me this is it. Wonderful floral nose followed by a palate drenching of red and black fruit that extrude the years these vines have offered their bounty to the world. An essence of life in a bottle.

Really full. Leather, dark cherry. Very nice. Finish was a little short.
