Matt's housewarming (Skokie, IL): Well, this is drinking just about as you would expect. It's in great shape for what it is. There's lots of waxiness here, as well as some dried yellow fruits. Nary a hint of herbaceousness left, there's some spice and fruit to replace it, as well as a fair tinge of acidity. At this point, more interesting than good.
Excellent aged white Bordeaux. It still drinking well, but with little life ahead of it. Tasted right next to a white 2005 Bordeaux to compare and contrast. This wine has the complexity that comes with age. One can start to feel the oxidation just a tad.
