What an outstanding bottle. Had a weight and a power behind it that wasn't rich or fat. Held it's own with terrific freshness and density that felt like it could go on forever. Opened with smoke and dark berry fruit, caramel and earth. Very Rhone, like a Chateauneuf du Pape meets Hermitage. Continued to develop with a highly herbaceous and meaty nose: wild fennel, rosemary, saucisson. Notes of Italian amaro. It never lost it's wonderful energy and extract, this will age quite a long while. Drink now through 2030.

I opened this thinking it would be quite young but would open up. But it was really delicious shortly after a small decant. Dark fruit, some herbal but more restrained then I would have thought at this point in its journey. It will be even better down the road but delicious now. I would say that the length is not as long as I would normally expect. But delicious - well done

An out of the ordinary Syrah. Super savory, the fruit plays second fiddle to the big charcoal, stemmy, burnt sugar flavors and a remarkable finish that lasts longer than expected.

Muted cherry nose and smoothest of taste. No alcohol perceptible.

Pnp, big and sweet right out of the bottle. After an hour open, I felt evenly balanced, full bodied and fine.
