Whereas I found this open a year ago, it appears to have closed down now. Reduction was also more prominent than I remember from my first bottle. There's solid stuffing here, but I'll bury my last bottle relatively deep.

The fruit was a bit raw on opening, but mellowed out very nicely with a bit of air. Not closed down at all. Really nice nerve, good concentration and fresh acidity. Spices added a layer of complexity. A solid representation of both address and vintage and I'm happy to have another two bottles in the cellar.

Day Two in Burgundy: Ponsot, JJ Confuron, Vogue, Mugneret-Gibourg (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at domaine. Black fruit, subtle background spice. aromas. Black cherry flavors. Vosne character and spice emerge on finish. Well textured.
