This seems like the extra year or so of age has helped and moved it into a better spot. We opened and decanted, but poured almost right away. Very easy and smooth. No detailed notes as it was NYE, but this was drinking well now.

Dark, opaque wine. Nose is a lot of black brooding fruit accented by some charred oak. Full bodied, starts with some red fruited bright notes following to savory flavors & darker fruit . Quite tannic for Syrah. Long, rich finish. Very good wine.

Popped and poured and as might be expected this started very tight. It's starting to open up though. Get some coffee, tobacco, more of the savory flavors of a Syrah. Nice breadth of flavors - esp given the price point. Seems like this is drinking pretty well right now (with a bit of time). Not sure how much better it will get.

Pop and pour. Really developed over the course of dinner with big bold Blackberry earth caramel, developing into more meaty funky underbelly as it progressed. Rather linear on opening but developed complexity as it opened up. Will attempt to give next bottle more airtime before drinking.

Nice Washington Syrah. Nose of earthiness, and a nice long finish.
