Elegant and strongly built. Dark and brambly nose with a smooth and soft entry, black fruit palate, and spice on the back end. Really nice complement to shakshuka with some feta.

Killer qpr! Slightly funky on the nose, animalistic something, reminds me of Domaine de'l Horizon, only with more acidity, which I like and which makes it a better soloist. Also worked well with Parmigiana di Melanzane.

2nd bottle. More earth funk and horse tail/barnyard (bretty?) than the previous bottle. I didn't store this in a barn vs. prior bottle. This had decent minerality, rose petals, crushed stones and tart red berries but nothing pulling it together as the funk wrapped around all.

Opened & poured two glasses about 30 min before serving. Beautiful clear ruby red. The nose is a mix of smoky red fruit with a hint of baking spice. The palate is medium bodied, entering with bright, tart cranberry. This evolved into a haunting mix of smoke, orange zest & some darker berry notes. High in acidity, exceptionally refreshing & diverse with many different foods. More please.
