Rotating Dinner Series- Kangaroo Dinner (Frontier, Chicago IL): This was drying out by the time I got to it. I was a bit slower on tasting the pinots, and when I got to this there was a good amount of soy. Underneath that though were very balanced tones of cedar, black fruits, dark red cherries, and spices.

Chicago Rotating Dinner Series - August 2013 (the Kangaroo Dinner) (Frontier - Chicago, IL): Lots of reduction at first with some funk, but that blew off with some time. A very minty and dark cabernet, this had a beautiful rustic feel to it. I had the feeling that I was drinking a similarly aged Californian cabernet - elegant, earthy, and somewhat spicy.
