  • a bit tannic and oaky - still retains the dryness even after 13 years

  • Very disappointing. The nose was vegetal and herbal and showed very liitle, if any fruit on the palate. The finish was short and slightly bitter. I stored half the bottle in an airtight carafe overnight in the fridge in hopes it might come around. I took a sip tonight and the remainder went down the drain. The '96 version was a very enjoyable wine, as were several other '96s, and brings to mind the thought that the Rosemount wines started a steady decline after the '96 vintage.
