  Very good, 13.5% alc.
  Colour: deep black berry, browning edges
  Bouquet: aromatic developed black currant, slightly jammy, smokey, black cherries
  Palate: as bouquet, some cedar and boot polish, full bodied but soft supple tannins, fine grained oak, dry long finish,

I stored half the bottle in an airtight carafe overnight in the fridge in hopes it might come around. I took a sip tonight and the remainder went down the drain. The '96 version was a very enjoyable wine, as were several other '96s, and brings to mind the thought that the Rosemount wines started a steady decline after the '96 vintage.
