PnP, then drunk over two evenings. This was singing on both days. Very floral, evolved (but clean) and almost spicy nose. Precise, sharp and deeply mineral on the palate. Wonderful at 12 years of age. Simply stunning and an incredible bargain.

Our second 2012 Tribut this week, and sadly my last bottle. This ‘12 Tribut Beauroy was stunning. Much better than the Côte de Lechet. Just starting to show some age, but there’s no risk of imminent decline. Fairly glycerined and dense for Chablis. A thing of beauty at a great stage of development.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light-med gold green -faint lemon wet stone and some waxy lanolin mature notes -med+ acidity is simultaneously gentle and super tart, med- weight faintest citric remnants provide some top notes to the otherwise sappy intense saline minerality -interesting, not sure this will improve from here unless it becomes more complex with tertiary mature elements

After being double-decanted and spending a night in the fridge this is in a much better place than it was on day one; nose is expressively white burgundy: hints of lily and jasmine with green tropical fruit like kiwis and green mango with a saline kick on the end. The palate is more of the same: linear and slightly salty but with good body and acidity. Very good but I would definitely hold for a while (or decant) if I had any bottles of my own.

By the bottle at Noreetuh in NYC. Nose is rather shy, slight almond notes, crushed rocks, leesy brioche-y notes; very champagne. Palate is full-bodied but lean and linear in true Chardonnay fashion. As it opens up it gains a bit more expression; preserved lemon, underripe mango, more brioche. Killer with fried seafood, but it needs food. Super delicious.
