Mid ruby, with a tinge of browning. Delightfully powerful mint-eucalypt-alcohol nose. Velvet smooth dark fruits in the front and mid palate with the usual touch of Molly caramels, a little back and side palate acid. Smoothed out through the evening... exceptional wine, way more than i expected. Drinking superbly at this point, no signs of age except the slight bricking, still has a few years left in it.

This it intended to be over the top, fruit forward, and velvety smooth. The winery is unabashed in their style, so must be celebrated. Not for everyone, and not necessarily "to the style" of Cabernet. But this is fun wine, and I like it. Drink it young, and enjoy. A truly decent quaff for the price.

Love the Maitre D' - one of the better examples of ~$20 Cab out there. My last bottle of this vintage. Concentrated, over the top, but enough backbone to keep the structure intact. The tannins are softening now and this is drinking very well. Drink up!

The wine is a deep ruby colour; completely opaque.
Jumping out of the glass with a pronounced intensity of cassis, prunes, over-ripe plums and blueberries. There is a tell-tale eucalyptus note here over dried violets and obvious oak influences. A powerful, sweet-smelling wine that is just showing the first signs of development.
The palate is dry with medium acidity, full soft tannins, high alcohol, full body and a medium + intensity of sweet dark fruits, baking spices, vanilla and quite a hot, medium finish from the alcohol. Not a bad wine but a little too much for more and the alcohol is clearly out of balance.
A good quality Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia.

Nice Cab fron Australia. Dark fruit up front with a soft tannin structure. Pleasant finish, nicely paired with Pork Tenderloin
