  • This wine has continued to improve and is still quite lively. Very fruit forward with a nice hit of acidity mid pallet. Finish is initially intense with spice, heat, and red fruit with medium length.

  • Balanced and mature now, quite enjoyable. Not a huge wine, with a soft touch to the black and blue fruits, but a great mouth feel and long finish. Drink within 2 yrs.

  • Shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. we were first introduced to this wine at a wine pairing dinner hosted by Stage Left Restaurant (2014) with the winery proprietor present. we have tasted the wine once a year, every december since 2015. re-visiting this wine now after having last tasted it in december of 2017. previous notes are still relevant. I liked it well enough when originally tasted at stage left in 2014 and it has shown well again each year thereafter. another year in the bottle since last taste has been kind to the wine. it continues to pick up a little weight. otherwise notes are much the same as last time. still has dark color. GSM (70% grenache, 16% syrah, 9% mouvedre) + 5% cinsault. forward aroma of berry fruits. I can't say that my palate is good enough to pick out the contribution each component makes to the taste profile but overall the blend was satisfying in the mouth. Nice version of CNdP style. glad to have enjoyed this wine over the years. it will probably continue to improve a bit but alas, there is no more in my cellar.

(Owen Roe Sinister Hand Columbia Valley) A moderately aromatic wine with red plums, herbs, chocolate, and clove. The palate is medium bodied, seamlessly stitched together with exquisite balance, fruit and meat flavors, and an extended finish. A high (high) quality wine to find at this tariff, equal parts feel and flavor. 70% Grenache, 16% Syrah, 9% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault. 14.1% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.
