Nose is enticing showing sweet perfumed red fruit like strawberry and cherry, baking spices, faint iron, mineral, and roses.
Palate is not as complex with silky blackberry, black cherry as the initial taste followed by sweet spice, lavender, and earth. The earthy notes become more prominent on the finish that is a bit short as the fruit fades off rather quickly.
Just a tad bit of tannin left, I'd say this wine is in the prime drinking window. Nothing spectacular, but a nice effort nonetheless.

Deep garnet and color with ruby edges. Knows of dark berries, licorice, and hints a BlackBerry. Taste of blackberries, graphite, and leather. Showing signs of tertiary flavors, still nice fruit, pronounced acidity, and good structure. A nice wine right and it’s drinking window. Drink now and over the next 3 to 5 years.

3rd bottle at Thanksgiving so I wasn't paying too much attention by this point, but this wine is just solid right out of the bottle, delicious but also complex if you want it to be. Compared to the same producer's St Joseph, far more ready now.

Deep purple - plum in the glass. Buttered toast. Perfectly dry, balanced and refined.

PNP. Nice burgundy hue and not completely opaque.

Pleasant wine. Fully mature so no reason to hold. Consistent over two days. Very refined and elegant, but nothing stands out. Lovely blackberry fruit.
