perfectly stored, cork had a bit of leak and level was high shoulder, wine was perfectly mature and would last at least 10 years more.. hardly any orange on rim, nose was bordeaux like, pencil lead and tobacco, full bodied red and black fruit, the tempranillo sweetness and fullness was till evident, not much tannins left but beefy! had it with prime rib, just lovely. no rush to finish, however my last bottle. benefit of aging.

At 27 years, this is alive and well. Beautiful stuff. Getting tertiary on the nose. Lots of brown sugar.. Plummy fruit, coffee, cassis, roasted red pepper, dried orange peel and salt. Wow. I think I paid about $30 for this back in the day. Last bottle. Wish I had more in the cellar.

Wow. This is fantastic. Nice notes of an old wine, such as leather, spices, some subtle oak, but also really tight and put together. This is not near falling apart. Just a tight envelope of aged yumminess.
Went fantastically with grilled steak. Some nice acidity and spices really paired well with the charred and medium rare meat. This just hit all of the right notes.

Moldy cork, but wine was fresh smelling and fresh tasting. Cinnamon, incense, curry, along with thyme, tobacco, bay leaf, and rosemary. Cherry, currant, and sappy plum fruit, with bright orange acidity. Choclate and vanilla from the oak, but these flavors were in the background at this point. Delightful. I always enjoy Spanish Tempranillo. Nice vibrancy for a 24 year old wine. Needed about 2 hours of air to get going.
