Should have been drunk about a year ago in my opinion. Still a drinkable wine with solid flavors maybe should have let it decant longer than 45 minutes

Nose was OK, with lifted red fruit notes and some spice. Nothing to write home about. Palate underwhelming. Tannins fine. An acceptable quaffer. The perfectly reasonable man on the Clapham Omnibus which you probably would otherwise never have noticed.
