PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -light red at rim, dark ruby core, no bricking -very aromatic with warm red fruits and a bit of oak -ample med acidity provides lift, med weight less than expected from the nose but med+ concentration and almost creamy texture, some perceptible red fruits and subtle mature elements, oak is slightly too prominent, chalky tannins on decent length finish -interesting wine, I very much like the power without weight and that it's driven by its aromatics but the oak is a touch over done, drinking well now and may benefit with more time to shed some tannins but I don't think this will be super long-lived as it is already showing some evidence of turning the maturity corner; overall a terrific value

No notes, but this one is drinking very well. Caparone probably does their best with Aglianico. This probably has a bit more full, ripe fruit than the typical issue from Caparone.

Scored on Day 3. This wine held up nicely, with little fruit deterioration and nice alcohol (13.1%) integration. Wonderful dark berry notes with good balance. I love the owners' no-nonsense approach to wine-making, their low-key (no-key!) marketing, and user-friendly pricing. How lucky are we?

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, black currant and prune. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and black currant with a full body. Round texture with a medium finish.
