Day 1 blue fruit, cigar box notes, a hearty wine that' s tannic and drys the teeth (probably paints them red, too.) day 2 same thing, but less so. Not so bold but still pleasant. Still would pair with meat.

P&P. Nice dark translucent. Super funk ripe fruit, barnyard and ripe green olive orchards in the hot late summer days. A bit watery on entry, nice bright expanding fruit, bright, light but expansive, some tannins and long finish. First encounter with this grape. Nice. Oh a couple of hours of half the bottle in the decanter, weight, depth of fruit. wow. This wine is bit, petite sirach type grape, feels small tannic but ripe. Dusty finish, a rig roughed up the palate is. Add some cheese. This wine loves the fatty cheese, cuts through it, it is young and agressive. Vacuumed Day II - Fruit is richer, still very PS characteristics, tannins have come alive, dusty, acid is more balanced, fruit weightier, Really earning the 92 now.

Tannins have definitely mellowed. Rich dark fruit, primarily blackberry with allspice. An earthy firmness that is almost oak tannin like but gives it a slight candied fruit feel, but not in a sweet way. Great food wine.

Deep red on the eye with no bricking; no sign of age. Roses and hints of citrus on the nose with the same on the palate over a mineral/tannic base.

Prunes and vinyl, on the nose, chocolate and white pepper in a gently tannic cloak. A tannic and (?) sweet yet dry finish. Entirely enjoyable
