I really enjoy Remoissenet's wines which until lately have been more reasonably priced here in the US. This Beze is just a bit watery; yes, airy and light on its feet, the nose redolent of flowers and cherry fruit, elements which make Burgundy so special, but this needs more umpf.

Exotic floral nose with roses, violets, spice, mint. Very intensely perfumed and beautiful. Palate was focused with ripe berry and smooth sweet tannins. Medium bodied. Closed and will develop a lot more complexity with time.

After WWS, KEVIN & KELLY IN BURGUNDY – FAIVELEY, BOUZEREAU, MERME, REMOISSENET, DUJAC & COMTE LIGER-BELAIR; 11/11/2013-11/14/2013 (Burgundy): For me what makes Chambertin and CDB better than the other GC gevrey is finesse and elegance. Complex delicate nose displaying bright red fruits, sweet spices, a hint of white pepper, mocha, mineral and a hint of caramel. Very precise and delicate palate, just perfect amount of acidity and seamless long finish. This is an excellent CDB with exceptional purity and balance. To compare to the 09 Rousseau version, not as delicate and beguiling but still quite hedonistic. I will definitely look for this wine.
