drinking together with bizot 2012 echezeaux. this bottle is not as cute as bizot. aroma of perfume, red fruits, and blush powder. but less tanning and acidity.

Very open and generous, very 2012 with rich, sexy and playful fruit and plenty of spice. Slight hints of sous bois showing, drinking window is wide open. Great depth. Pure joy. #IB

Unforutnately, I was not there at the start to enjoy this bottle, and only managed to try a small glass to finish it off. I enjoyed it, but really didn't have enough of a sample to discern the quality. This was especially the case as the beautiful red fruit, floral characteristics of Liger Belair's wines had already blown off by the time I got there. Even so, I could tell that the wine was good from the structure.
Looking forward to trying again!

Enjoyed at dinner with Louis-Michel just after a Reignots 12. Both are titanic efforts. I slightly prefer the Eche 12 here but that's a really tight call. The Eche seems a touch more serious vs the more hedonistic Reignots. It was a seemelessness, depth of fruit, supple tannins and is just deep like an ocean in that you can totally emerge yourself. A very complete wine.

Quite clean and like the palate better than the aromatics at this stage with the sweetness shining through.
