  • The cork was slipping halfway down the neck, with quite a bit of mold on the top. The cork fell in while trying to extract it, so the wine had to be filtered through cheesecloth to remove the gunk that got into it. Quite different from my bottle in 2002; this shows more body. Mature, but still holding some fruit and sweetness. Dried apples, apricots, earth and slate. Good (not great) acids. Still alive, enjoyable and an interesting curiosity, but I wish this had more depth on the palate and more length.

  • Bottle in good condition, cork soaked. After pulling the cork, put it back and waited for 1/2h. Lots of petrol and herbs on the nose. Barely any sweetness left, big acidity, but not too much fruit. I'm a fan of old wines, but this one is over the top! Nevertheless charming and a good companion to asian food yesterday.

  • Light, dry and grippy. Not showing much fruit. A bit of deisel, but in general, very watery. Interesting and not unenjoyable, but boring.
