(7,5 % ABV) Medium golden colour. Nose: Initially a bit closed. Petroleum, mineral, peaches, sweet lemon, candied lemon peel (88). Taste: Medium sweet mouthfeel, medium acidity, mature fruitiness, some minerality. With air some fine marzipan notes arrive too (87). Drinks very well now. Total score 87 points.

Warm style. Probably on the edge of oxidizing. Tones of dried fruits, flowers and some petroleum. Sweet feeling. Lacks the freshness from the Ürziger sister.

Opened at 11 drunk now at 4:30 -- and at its best. If there wasn't just a twinge of sweetness (and if we were all blind folded) everyone would think it was a red wine: earth, richness, a depth of maturity. Somewhat "out done" by the Donnhoff Spatlese Bruke served alongside by thankfully no one in the party was keeping score. This was simply more mature, full and rounded. Its delicious now but there certainly isn't any reason to drink it up quickly. Cheers.

This was in absolutely prime form. A real beauty. Drink away but its definitely not going over the hill anytime soon.
