decanted nose - sweet oak mouth - clean but somewhat non-descript and crowded out by the full throttled new oak. my technique was to keep a mouthful for a short while and then my brain could subtract out the caramel and see the beautiful fruit. but not the easiest way to drink wine. HOLD.

Cherry and candy cane nose. In a riper style. Lifted palate with cherry, cranberry, 20 second finish. Delicious but tastes more like California than Burgundy and would never have guessed the origin. 92-93+ drink now if you like a lot of fruit.
A very tiny sip after dinner in blind. Fresh Red plums, bright red cherry, volatile stems and summer flowers, lifted new oak spices. Tight and slightly reduced. Lightish weight with silky tannins. Pretty scented whole cluster nose, modern style. Light Premier Cru weight, too small of a sip to make a meaningful guess. 2014? (90?/100) A very enjoyable style and definitely a wine to retaste!
