  Very dense, dark violet colour, strong delicious sweet fragrance of dark berry, starting with tangy, savoury taste, midweight body, one-dimensionel with black fruit in the foreground but lacking complexity, i am not quite sure if more years in the cellar will help, maybe this wine is declining, but no stick out secondary and tertiary aromas, ending long and saline with very tart acidity, drink this Medoc with food now, **(+), 84-87+?

  Donker robijnrood. In de neus cassis, bramen, cederhout en tabak. Soepel van smaak, kruidig en vol fruit met een goede concentratie. Zachte tannines en een vrij lange afdronk. Prima Cru Bourgeois.

  Casino de Monte Carlo, by the glass. Nose good, cassis, leaf and leather. Nice sweet fruits on entry, midpalate is quite flabby unfortunately. Not really worth a 9-10 year wait.

  Garnet, showing no signs of maturity. Farmyard, leather and tobacco on the nose, also cranberry and blackberry. A sweet entry to the palate, brown sugar, lovely dark fruit, creamy, a supporting acidity, chalky tannins. Integrated oak. Long. What a balance! Lovely stuff, very moreish. No hurry to drink, has more potential. Good value. 13% alc.
