Impressive. Beautifully made Eden Valley Cabernet. Kym Teusner a real talent. Terrific qpr at $35 or less. Rich, verging on decadent. Peak drinking now.

Small decant time only. Pretty, perfumed, sweet lychee (thank you previous reviewer, you nailed it), purple plums and a little lavender. Eden Valley fruit. I feel I could be almost be forgiven for thinking this could be a cab franc. Body is a little rich, opulent perhaps with a slight bitter edge to it. Generous weighting and body and a solid medium finish. At its peak, it won’t improve, drink over the next year or so. Easy drinking. As always, great value from Kym Teusner.

British Airways - Business & Lounges; 11/10/2014-11/15/2014 (Sydney, London): {screwcap, 14.5%} Youthful. Bright, glowing blackberry fruit. Less cabernet on the nose than hte pate, which does manage an unexpected tobacco/herbal flavour. It’s fairly assertive in its medium-weight, but in a simple way; the medium length finish isn’t terribly satisfying somehow. Low dusty tannins, dry finish; it’s a fair effort but not for the cellar.

Drank at BA
Rich full on nose of dark fruits, liquorice and vanilla. Slightly let down on the finish.
