Quite aged, brown appearance. Gentle fruit and tannins which have surprising sweetness on the finish. Overall tannns, fruit and acidity are not in full balance, however a harmonious choice for the second wine of the paring for the shrimp and vegetable starter. A good example where an off vintage like 2013 can be a great choice with food.

Some quite attractive light fruit initially, more raspberry and redcurrant than blackcurrant, but otherwise rather underwhelming, with a somewhat dilute mid-palate and a flat finish. I am not sure this will get any better, but I have one bottle left and so might leave it for a year or two to see.

Oh dear. Dry, woody with tomato notes and dry oak. Feels like a scratchy cheap Rioja. The palate is harsh and lacks any taste to over-ride the bitterness. A tough vintage - drinks like a supermarket wine.

Quite liked this - relatively lean, some red berried fruit and bell peppers, mature.

Very pale, pink rim. Rather acid nose and disappointingly thin initially. Wait to see what happens over the evening. Drying out.
