Good wine and terrific value. Fruit forward with dark plum, black currant and blackberry. Balanced and youthful. Very easy drinking but not showing a lot of complexity. Certainly fulfilled my expectations.

Fairly deep color. Neutral red wine nose. Raw, tart flavors, almost like pomegranate seeds. Pretty rustic. All stainless or cement — no oak. A disappointment from what one would expect from Perrin.

Aromas of small berry fruit, such as blackcurrants and blackberries, plus flavours of liquorice and spice. Perrin uses the same viticultural and wine-making techniques used at Château de Beaucastel. Only 20% of Côtes-du-Rhône is entitled to add the word Villages. These are the best viñard sites. Cost me $12. A good value wine.

Average drinking window of all vintages, including current four year drinking window for this one, but excluding 2005 as an outlier, is 4.8 years. This appellation makes me think "goats do roam in villages." >;o]

Nice enough; a bit thin and almost manufactured cherry flavor -- a bit like a boiled candy. Better with food. I think there is better out there for the price, however.
