Disagree with last tasting note -- wine is not nearly too old, it is at peak maturity. Subtle, soft southern rhone flavors, smooth texture...a real pleasure to enjoy now.

Really lovely Grenache that is more Burgundian than Rhone. Black cherry, strawberry, lavender and other floral notes on the nose, that finishes with distinct white pepper and other spices. Medium bodied but almost ethereal on the palate. It just dances across the tongue. More strawberries, spices and garrigue, and a nice mineralogy. The tannins are silky smooth, sweet and totally integrated. A gorgeous finish tops it all off. Very elegant, with a smoky, luscious quality. Enjoy it now, or for the next 8 years.

this was up against a lot of Paso wines (Including Saxum, Booker, and L'Aventure) so the lighter flavor profile stood out - strawberry and cranberry as well with cherry.

The Nearly Annual Lyon 10 Year Retro Tasting #24, Wines of Washington (Lyon Again, Eugene, OR): Lightest color of the entire tasting of 32 reds, yet beautiful for it's layers and complexity. Black and red fruit with underbrush, flowers and loam going on and on. Drink now, this is resolved!
