A text book Nebbiolo tasting note, fully developed. Certainly need to consume it if you still have one in the cellar. As the wine lacks tannin structure, intensity and length on the finish to consider for further cellaring.

This was my fifth bottle of this wine (since release) and up till now I have been quite disappointed. This is the first bottle that really has shined - focused, good intensity and purity of flavors.
While other bottles have given up after the first night this powered through with no signs of giving up until the third night. Good length and finish, and while the Principiano LN (2018) drunk along side it was the better wine (to me), no denying that this was a good wine (finally).

Tight on opening, decanted one hour, drank over two hours, improved with air. Dark/black cherry, stone, light floral hints (violets?) in nose and palate, with fine acid/tannin edge to the moderate long finish. Nice richness to the palate from the great dark fruit and the backing of earth and stone in balance with the acid and tannin. Ready to go, and I'd prefer to keep the rich fruit than see it subside with more age, though clearly no rush here.

Pop and pour. In the glass, just starting to move away from youthful ruby to auburn. On the nose, high toned florals and hints of crushed cherries. On the palate, more lean than full-bodied, leading with cherries and earthy notes, and a burst of acidity and tannic sourness on the moderate finish.

Smooth, rich Nebbiolo of dark fruits and violets, roasted and leathery and even some gamey notes. If simple, still broad and powerful, fruit ripeness and acidity on point, tannin never in the foreground. Ready, but cellar longer if you want. Delicious.
