Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 94 points

  • 93-94. I really, really wish I had saved this bottle for a blind. This bottle tastes like a burgundian barolo. The nose will give it away as a Burgundy with a bit of earth, followed by dark cherry notes. But the palate has this dark savory cherry and integrated savory rosewood, coupled with Rugiens power, that I think would have many calling for an aged, medium+ bodied, supple, dark Barolo. But the wine is too soft and elegant for this. Hence, a true Burgundian Barolo... I think the wine is in the zone, and will hold for another 5+ years easily...
