WEA portfolio tasting (Asia Grand): Another very pretty wine. Very floral and perfumy on the nose, most of us had this as Vosne/Chambolle. Red-fruited and minerally-infused, this was very well-balanced and elegant on the palate. When told it was a C-d-B wine, my guess shifted to Volnay. Was quite surprised when it was unveiled to be a Rugiens. My first JM Bouley and a good one!

Blinded, quite a few guessed Vosne, as the pedigree and classiness were here in spades. Well balanced, a little age on the palate, and silky tannins. Not austere or rustic like the stereotypical Pommard. Very refined and dare I say, elegant? Extremely easy to drink.

Very feminine violet like notes. Structured but lacks finish.

Blueberry dense cherry but slightly hollow on palate. Very enjoyable with good pure fruits.
