  • Drink now or within the next 3 years. The window is perfect now, in fact I am reducing my window range down a little.

  • Strong aromas of dark fruit; flavors abound with dark fruit and slight minerality; acidity and tannins are both smooth and mild which provides this wine with an Honorable Mention! This wine appears to be in the opening stages and has another 2 - 5 years in the bottle.

  • Not as I’d hoped. Winding down or 3rd party issue? Still nice stuff

  • Didn’t know what to expect, found this bottle deeper in the cellar. Approx 1.5 he in decanter. A 2012 that really impressed.Seems to be a Meritage of Cabernet Sauvignon and cab Franc with some petit verdot. Inky black color, long legs. The nose was quite subdued for a Cabernet, with earthiness and graphite pencil quality with bursting aroma of cassis some mint chocolate and Licorice. Tastes of dark cherries and dark fruits and herbal tones and forest floor. There was a dustiness on the palate, with power yet finesse from the front to back. Brought to mind a well aged Bordeaux or high quality Rhone CDP. And no heat! The tanins were folded in tremendously well without excess fruit or jammyness. Loved it. May have to source more form the producer.

  • This wine is locked up. Initially this was displaying a lot of blueberry muffin influence on the nose with very stiff oak. Entry has a hint of vanilla, blackberry, blueberry, wildflowers. Middle is where this one starts to get a little dry. Oak splinters. Very guarded finish. The best years of this wine are ahead of it. After 2 hours in decanter, this one got quite a bit more savory. Some grilled ribeye notes, more blackberry character, pepper, but still quite a bit of astringent oak here. I really think this one will be close to a 95 at peak maturity, which is definitely not now. Give this one another five years.
