We purchased this at Paradigm when we visited in January 2015. It was the first time our daughter had been to Napa. We had not opened any of our bottles until this one. Over eight years out from harvest, and yet WOW this was so big and red fruity (it still had the savory flavors that often come with a cab franc). Lovely floral perfumed smell on opening. Fairly deep crimson that was beautifully deep and clear in appearance. A really good cabernet franc can be almost a feminine version of a cabernet sauvignon, and I love that. This is a great example of a really good cab franc. Thank you to Ms. Barrett and the rest of the team at Paradigm.

Opened about an hour before dinner but did not decant. Nice red fruit, smooth tannins. Not sure I could have picked varietal if tasted blind, but the signature cab franc notes were there if you looked for them. At peak, but I suspect it will hold another few years.

Cassis, plum, tobacco, something barnyardy. Medium-plus body. Medium acidity. Medium-long finish. Not sure if its on the decline or if this was just an off bottle.

Black cherry, plum, lilac, dried herbs, forest floor. Medium-plus body. Medium acidity. Integrated tannins. Medium-long finish. Drink now - it’s at peak.

Violets, blackberry, black pepper, something a little funky. Medium-plus body. Medium-light tannins. At peak.
