Elegant, inky color. Sage and currants with tobacco and violets on the nose. Great, rich mouth feel, with tannins still apparent, but needed for balance and rich foods. The green pepper flavor comes thru along with some herbal notes. Appears a little one note. This is a big wine that may get better.

Not as full as other Arrowood Monte Rosso's I've had, but still very good. I didn't get a chance to decant, but would recommend that. It could use some time to open-up. Delicious berry flavors in this cab.

Arrowood (Sonoma): More interesting (compared to #1 in the tasting line). More French oak notes on the nose. berries on the palate and back palate. medium/short-medium finish. Made me forget the '11 Justin Creek and re-focus. Nice touch. Needs more of something (probably decanting time) ~80-90
