This is a lighter-bodied, elegant and understated wine, with a lovely mix of red fruit and soil tones. Drinking well now and a nice but not profound bottle to have with some classic winter French dishes (in our case, cassoulet and Beef bourguignon from our local bistro)

Excellent complexity on the nose. Really primary, but a balanced nose of blackberry, sous-bois, asian spices, pine needles, which evolve as the wine breathes. On taste a balanced succulent blackberry and raspberry taste with an excellent finish. Really a baby still - this will just get better over time. Only downside is the body which may be a tad light but this is the kind of Burgundy I like. Really a nice complex wine. 92 because I believe it will only get better with age. A prime example of a grand cru although Corton is frequently denigrated as a Grand Cru.

Similar to first note except more muted notes and tannins resolved. Quite enjoyable and ready to consume.

I think storage has been an issue. Flat and cooked on the nose. Flavour ok if muted.

Blind tasted. Most of the group was between Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and Burgundy. I correctly guessed older Burgundy, I said '02 Gevrey.
